Our Staff
Makahika personnel are highly experienced instructors; they are industry qualified and are extremely safety conscious. We are able to work with special needs, various learning styles and meet most of your individual learning needs.
The eight staff, contribute a variety of skills to the programmes from ropes instruction, bushcraft, astronomy, first aid, river safe skills, interpersonal skills, team dynamics and bring with them years of experience in their chosen fields of expertise. All Makahika personnel are passionate about the development of children, have fine senses of humour and will always contribute 100% to their visitors. We are a values based Centre, therefore work on a ‘consequence of action’ basis, firm but fair.
Your school camp can be for team building or purely a visit for fun. Makahika is the perfect location for your children to explore their capabilities and develop successful personal and inter-team relationships. You will be delighted with their achievements, sense of pride and growing self-esteem having participated in a challenging and fun stay at Makahika.
